Snacking🍟, sleeping late😴, mindless eating 😋, skipping me-time 💆🏻♀️. These are not bad habits. Looking at them that way will only lead to guilt, shame, and possibly rebounding later on.
Rather than labeling them as bad, perhaps we can take another approach.
Does this help you move towards your goal? 🎯
If it does, perfect. Keep going.
If it doesn't, what will?
Habits are just practices we repeatedly do. So if you're going to change a habit, it will take awareness, messy action, and time ⏰.
For me, one of the hardest habits I had to change was sleeping early 🦉. I didn't realize it at first, but when other routines such as food, and training were on-point, I realized it was my sleep that was lacking. I noticed I would feel like sh!t 💩 the next day if I didn't sleep by midnight (even if I had 8 hours of sleep).
So I made a conscious effort to sleep by 12am once a week at first. Then when that was easily doable, 2-3 times a week. Then 4-5 times. This whole process took months but it was worth it.
Now, I feel refreshed when I wake up, and my days feel a lot more productive than before. I'm ready for the new day!
