HOW I GOT RESULTS WITHOUT FAD DIETS


Stop me if you've heard this one before.


You haven't weighed yourself in a while.

You thought, "Maybe I should check my weight."


So you get on the scale, and couldn't help the giant gasp 😲 and your eyeballs popping out of their sockets 👀! The horror 😱!


When that happened to me, my first thought was, "I have to go on a diet!"


I started researching, listing all the pros and cons of different diets, and which one(s) I thought I could do.


Hours later, I settled for 1 diet. I decided to cut out all carbs from that day on until I lost weight💯.


Weeks later, I lost the weight I wanted. But, I went nuts 🥜. Bat-sh!t crazy💩! My mood was all over the place and I was tired.


The worst part was I was craving 🍕🍔🥞🥐🍪🍩🍰. All. The. Time. I thought it was normal when losing weight so I sucked it up and pushed through.


When I went back to regular eating, I gained the weight back.


A couple more years of cycles like this one, and I was done with diets.


There had to be a way to sustainably be at the weight that I wanted without torturing myself. So I took short courses, learning from the pros. What did they teach their clients?


Here's where I learnt:

- The different food groups and their functions

- To be mindful when eating

- Do not demonize certain food groups

(there's way more but these were my biggest takeaways)


After I applied these to my daily eating habits, my life changed for the better. Don't get me wrong, it took a lot of trial and error on my part. Still, eventually, I got it!


For the most part, I'll forage on whole foods 🥩🍠🥦🥑🍌🍎. Occasionally, I'll have 🍟🍕🍪🍰. I'd mostly eat when I'm hungry. And if I had a craving, there were strategies for those too. 😏😉


Even during Covid, I am proud and happy to say, I did not gain any weight!


I have found my forever diet.
