Growing up, I always knew I would never be the “skinny” type. For a while, I tried so hard to copy it in the hopes to fit in. They all lead to epic fails, both physically 🤕 and mentally (emotionally) 😫.
After years of processing it and learning to embrace myself and love my body, I moved on to other goals🎯.
Nowadays, so long as I am
😄 healthy and happy
🤸🏻♀️ able to stay active
❤️ comfortable with the way I look,
My body weight is not something I look at anymore.
To meet these goals, I do a mix of
Weight training 🏋🏻♀️ To get stronger and build muscle to support my overall performance. During gym closure(s), I have swapped to resistance training at home. They’re not the same but they’ll do considering the situation.
BJJ ♟️ Because it’s fun for me. (Paused due to Covid-19)
All in all, by focusing and enjoying my health and fitness journey, I’ve gotten more results than I could ever expect including but not limited to
Getting stronger than ever 🏋🏻♀️
Having a toned body 💪🏻🍑
winning local and international competitions 🥇
