Do you want quick & temporary, or gradual & permanent results?
Each method has their pros & cons. At the end of the day, it depends on each person's goals, and lifestyle.
If you have a competition in a few weeks, a quick & temporary fix may be for you.
If this is because you want to be healthy for the rest of your life, a gradual & permanent may be the way to go.
Personally, I prefer having tools & strategies with long term & permanent effects. Why?
Once I'm there, all I have to do is maintain by keeping up what I'm already doing.
Because I did a gradual change, it's not as hard as making that sudden 180 degree change that would spiral my world upside-down. (Can you imagine going from a 🍔🍕🍟 one day then🥗🍌🍊 the next? That would drive even me insane after a few days. The cravings would hit me so fast and hard)
To be clear, there's absolutely nothing wrong with making a huge change at once; it's just very hard to keep up. Believe me, I've tried. And I have ended up in cycles of guilt, shame, and frustration with myself.
