A friend asked me the other day,
"I'm thinking of doing Intermittent Fasting. What do you think of it?"
Simply put, there's a time and place for it; just like with all other diets. Personally, I don't follow a specific diet, because it doesn't fit my lifestyle.
Because it doesn't fit my lifestyle, I know I wouldn't be able to do it for long.
Would I encourage someone to follow a specific diet? It depends.
We're all different in factors such as age, body type, dietary preference & exclusions, time, and loads more. It wouldn't be fair - not to mention difficult - to tell a meat-lover to go Vegan; similarly, it wouldn't be fair to tell a rice-lover to do Keto.
The trick is: Find a diet that works best for you.
Just as there's no one-size-fits-all when it comes to clothes, there's no one-size-fits-all when it comes to diets.
Now may come your question, "How do I know what diet works best for me?"
That's a great question. You have 2 options:
Do your research and experiment on your own
Get support from someone who knows and understands the struggles! cough Me 🙋♀️ cough
I was never the thinnest; struggled with weight (and judged for it); and struggled balancing health and life. I understand the struggle is very real. However, together, we can discover the diet that suits you the most, so that you can reach your health and fitness goal(s) realistically and sustainably!
